If you need help finding shoes that fit YOU specifically, this is the place to come. Me and my hubs were both assisted by Gary, who was extremely knowledgeable. He assessed my gait, asked my typical size, and returned with 3 choices. All were great, I found the best for me. While assisting us, he also educated us on our natural stances and its long term impacts on the body. It was a wonderful experience.

Best shoe experience I’ve ever had. Garry knew exactly what to do for my flat feet and saw I had pronation. Found the most perfect shoe for me so fast. 10/10 would recommend.

This has been my favorite shoe store for over 40 years since I was a kid. Far better than anywhere else that I've ever tried, it's a warm, comfy place to test shoes out and explore what else you need.

I had a great experience here. Went in to get some new workout kicks, and the salesman was so patient and professional. He asked me a lot of questions related to my activity lifestyle, and watched the way I walk to understand my gait. Of course, he made sure that the sneakers fit properly and insisted I put them both on and walk around the room. I purchased two different pair. And they feel great. I will definitely come back here for any athletic shoe need.

The best! They always take their time with you and are so knowledgeable. Have gotten shoes here for years. They are great if you don’t know what kind of shoes you should be wearing for your foot shape/arch, etc. It’s a great spot!

I love this place! People who work here are so knowledgeable about shoes, foot structure and many more! You get a professional help here which you get nowhere! I was amazed at how they just looked at my feet and told me what type of shoes I need to wear! And they were right! I love my running shoes! Thank you, Mike, for your extraordinary help!

I had such a wonderful experience at Murphy's Fit today. I came in looking for new shoes because I’ve started walking every day and needed something that would truly support me. Mike was fantastic. He had me walk around the store, watched how my feet hit the ground, evaluated my gait, and made thoughtful recommendations based on how I actually move. I knew right away that I was working with an expert. Mike knows his shoes. He talked about the different brands, the patents behind them, and the details that make each shoe work differently. He was also incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. I loved learning that the Evanston shop has been open since 1980, and I was delighted to get to know Mike a little while he was fitting me. The level of care was incredible. He didn’t just point me toward a pair of shoes. He helped fit them properly, laced and tied them for me, and made sure they felt right before I left. I walked out of the store wearing them. After I left the shop, I took off for a walk and put 6 miles on these babies (that's 2 more miles than my personal best)—and my feet still felt great. These are honestly the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. This experience has shown me the right shoes make all the difference, and this was the first time I felt truly fitted and cared for while buying a pair. Mike is the master of shoes. Go see Mike. I would highly recommend Murphy's Fit to anyone in Evanston or Chicago. Absolutely worth the drive.

We visited here first time today to see if we could find a pair of shoes that could assist my wife’s long standing. It was a very impressive experience. We were initially looking for Hoka, but they don’t have them. So, instead, we asked them to recommend shoes that can support her feet with good cushioning. He brought some pairs of Saucony (first time heard). As we got more pairs, the shoes were fitting better and better. As a customer, we went to another shop to see how Hoka worked for her, but ended up coming back to hear to get the recommended shoes. Not only about the shoe brands, the quality of buying experience was beyond our expectations. Not just brining different sizes and colors, he knew what are the exact differences and details. That’s how he brought us better fitting shoes gradually, a quick and appropriate feedback. Also, everytime with a new pairs, he supported putting the shoes on. Such a different experience than any other shops. Even if I find a place to buy shoes few dollars cheaper, I will come here again to enjoy great experience, which makes my every day walking great.

I wanted to send a quick note to say how happy I was with my purchase today. I visited the store just after lunch and met Gary, who was wonderful to work with. He really knew his stuff, and it was clear that he is an expert in his field. He had me walk in front of him and was able to identify exactly what kind of shoe I needed just by analyzing my gait. I could tell he was very serious about his work and truly knew what he was talking about. I went with his suggestion, and I am quite happy with the results. The shoes he picked out appear to be fantastic for running, which is a topic Gary and I discussed at length. This store clearly knows what they are doing and offers a great selection of running shoes and accessories. I will certainly be coming back again and again. Best regards, Abe
